Full description and objectives

GenAI4EU aims to support the development and deployment of Generative AI across Europe's strategic industrial ecosystems and public services through open innovation ecosystems. This aligns directly with the AI Continent and Apply AI priorities foreseen by the European Commission, but the strategic challenge is not on adoption, is on the process for teams working hard on solutions that remain in Europe and ensure the quality (and legal in some cases) standards required to produce new solutions.

Furthermore, the adoption challenge is multidimensional. Organisations need to know which workflows justify the use of GenAI, what evidence is sufficient to trust a solution. In many cases the missing element is not a model alone, but a combination of trusted data, evaluation, domain expertise, compute, integration support, a pilot environment, financing or the right implementation partner.

This 60-minute session convenes applied GenAI, sector-adopter and ecosystem perspectives around one core question: how can Europe create and turn Generative AI capability into trusted, repeatable adoption in high-value sector workflows? It addresses four connected discussion pillars:

Session Objectives

  • Identify high-value Generative AI workflows where Europe has a credible opportunity to move from interest or experimentation toward trusted deployment.
  • Clarify the evidence, trust, governance and integration conditions that determine whether those workflows can be deployed responsibly and repeatedly.
  • Identify the missing capabilities or connections - partners, pilots, trusted data, compute, testing, expertise or investment - that are currently slowing creation.
  • Translate the discussion into actionable GenAI4EU Central Hub routes that can support in the future the current missing gaps, producing a first view of which opportunities should be connected to which parts of the European ecosystem.

Why you want to join?

The workshop will address the following topics:
  • Where GenAI Can Create Differentiated European Value: Which industrial and public-sector workflows combine sufficient value, data, domain knowledge and organisational readiness to justify moving from experimentation toward deployment?
  • What Makes GenAI Trustworthy and Deployable: What evidence, evaluation, governance, security, human oversight and performance requirements must be satisfied before organisations can rely on GenAI in real operational workflows?
  • From Demonstration to Integration: What prevents apparently successful GenAI demonstrations from becoming repeatable operational deployments - including integration with existing systems, data access, ownership, skills, procurement and organisational change?
  • Making the Right Connections: Which links between adopters, providers, data, compute, testing, expertise, pilots and investment should be easier so that promising opportunities can progress rather than remain isolated experiments?
