Full description and objectives

As AI, Data, and Robotics become increasingly interconnected, successful deployment depends not only on the performance of individual technologies, but also on how organisations, platforms, infrastructure, human operators and operational processes interact. Governance gaps often emerge not within a single component, but at the boundaries between them.

This interactive workshop uses realistic ADR cases to explore how such gaps become visible. Through a facilitated whole-room case analysis, participants will progressively examine the same incident from different perspectives, trace how data, decisions, actions and effects propagate across an ecosystem, and identify where responsibility, observation or decision-making becomes fragmented.

Participants will then explore how governance can be embedded across system architecture, testing and assurance, operational workflows, contractual arrangements, escalation mechanisms and runtime monitoring — rather than treating governance primarily as compliance or post-incident control.

The workshop introduces the Ecosystem Governance Design Canvas as a practical framework for moving from ecosystem mapping and governance-gap discovery to governance design and ongoing assurance. The Canvas and supporting materials will be made available digitally during and after the session for participants to adapt to their own ADR initiatives.

As ADR systems become increasingly interconnected, many implementation challenges no longer originate from a single AI model or technology, but from interactions across organizations, platforms, infrastructure and operational workflows. While existing governance approaches often focus on individual components, successful ADR deployment requires a broader ecosystem perspective.

The workshop aligns with the Forum's priorities on innovation, deployment, technological resilience, value creation and cross-sector collaboration by providing participants with a practical method for identifying governance gaps that emerge across organizational and technological boundaries.

Using realistic case studies from sectors such as mobility, healthcare, manufacturing, and digital platforms, participants will collaboratively redesign ADR ecosystems and explore how governance can be embedded into system architecture, operational processes, contractual arrangements, and continuous monitoring.

Rather than focusing only on compliance, the workshop aims to help participants design governance that enables trustworthy, resilient, and scalable ADR deployment.
