Full description and objectives
AI is moving into real-world applications that address some of Europe’s key industrial, environmental, scientific and societal challenges. This session will showcase how advanced AI and data technologies are being developed and tested in practical settings, from optimising energy and resource use to making manufacturing more resilient and more sustainable.
It will also feature AI applications in complex scientific and engineering domains, including meteorology, nuclear energy and particle physics, where new models are being developed to improve the robustness and applicability of AI. In parallel, advances in cognitive and neuromorphic robotics are supporting the development of more autonomous and adaptive robots, with applications ranging from human-robot interaction to physical rehabilitation.
The objective is to provide a practical overview of how European research and innovation can translate advances in AI into deployable solutions for strategic sectors and demonstrate their potential for wider adoption.
