Full description and objectives

The workshop will cover the European success stories related to the use of AI in robotics in multitude of sectors such as Production, Healthcare, Construction, Inspection and Maintenance, etc. Covered topics will include how AI has contributed for the robots to achieve needed degrees of Autonomy, Interaction, Dexterity and Perception (highlighted in ADRA SRIDA), essential to solve an industrial problem.

For presentations, the organizer will invite the coordinators of major FP9 (Horizon Europe) projects with success stories right at the cross of AI and Robotics.

Following the presentation of the success stories an expert panel discussion will be organized to identify the challenges and future directions for next European research agenda. Panelists will be informed and influential people involved in various policy affairs across Europe in relevance FP10.

The objectives of the session are:

– Provide a dissemination platform for Embodied AI

– Catalyze the the collaboration between AI and Robotics communities

– Establish the foundation for the Apply AI strategy to be outlined in SRIDA for FP10.

– Harmonize the ideas among experts and policy makers across Europe.

Why you want to join?

The robotics represents the physical embodiment of AI, arguably the most challenging sectors for the AI as it involves the interaction and exchange of forces between robots and the environment including humans. From the start of Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programms, the European Commission has made a significant investment in the use of AI in Robotics. ADRA has consistently provided the direction to the commission for these investments. The projects from these investments have covered a wide range of TRL and many of them have created a wealth of lessons learned, both in terms of success and challenges.

It is critical that these results are well and widely shared, particularly with the context of next Framework Program on the horizon. These lessons learned are indispensable to pursue the Apply AI strategy of ADRA and EU.
