Full description and objectives
Join us to explore how AI is being applied across industry, infrastructure and the environment, and how human-centred approaches can help turn technological innovation into meaningful impact for a more sustainable, circular and resilient Europe.
This workshop will showcase 4 Horizon Europe projects demonstrating how AI can deliver practical solutions to support Europe’s green and digital transition. The projects will illustrate how AI can generate economic, environmental and societal benefits when applied across different areas.
The 4 projects cover a diverse range of applications, from supporting SMEs in developing combined AI and data solutions for large-scale resource optimisation, to developing the next generation of AI-assisted decision-making methods for railway and air traffic management. These approaches explore the recovery of critical raw materials and the use of AI for marine habitat and underwater volcano monitoring. Together, these examples show how AI can contribute to more efficient resource use, safer and smarter systems, stronger resilience and improved environmental monitoring.
Beyond technological performance, the projects place people and the public interest at the centre of innovation. They explore human-AI collaboration and highlight the importance of human involvement, trust, inclusiveness and responsible deployment when developing AI systems that deliver lasting value.
Why you want to join?
Explore AI solutions delivering positive economic, societal and environmental impact (across resource optimisation, transport management and raw materials recovery).
