Robotics Researcher

Eurecat Technology Centre

Silvia Izquierdo Badiola is a Robotics Researcher at Eurecat working on cognitive robotics and human-robot interaction, with a particular focus on reasoning and task planning for adaptive robot behaviour in dynamic human-centred environments. She holds a PhD in Robotics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, where she investigated hybrid approaches combining symbolic planning and generative AI for flexible and adaptive human-robot collaboration. Before joining Eurecat, she worked as a Robotics Software Engineer at Dyson, developing algorithms for autonomous robotic systems. Her current research focuses on hybrid symbolic, generative, agentic, and embodied AI for intelligent robotic systems. Her work has been published at international robotics and AI conferences including ICRA, ECAI, and RO-MAN.
