Pedro Nuno Leite

Pedro Nuno Leite earned his PhD Cum Laude from the University of Porto in 2025, focusing on subsea robotics and AI for deployment in harsh deep-sea environments. His research bridges learned perception models into open-sea validation at the ATLANTIS Test Centre. He is currently an Invited teacher at the Faculty of Engineering and leads a research team building autonomous inspection solutions for critical offshore structures. He has worked on European projects such as TALOS and ATLANTIS. As project manager for the AEROSUB consortium, which coordinates aerial, surface and underwater robots toward fully unmanned offshore wind O&M, he combines technical expertise with operational leadership. Pedro has a strong track record of securing European funding by bridging highly scientific research with targeted industry needs.
