Nelson Rodrigues

Nelson Rodrigues is Team Leader, Robotics at CITEVE, the Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industries of Portugal, where he leads R&D activities in robotics and automation for textile manufacturing, including the TEXP@CT project. He is also an Invited Professor at the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave, supervising student projects in engineering and applied research. Nelson is currently pursuing a PhD in Advanced Engineering Systems for Industry at the University of Minho, focusing on neuromorphic computing in autonomous vehicles. His work bridges industrial robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation, with a particular focus on translating research prototypes into validated, real-world manufacturing solutions across the European textile and clothing sector.
