Maria Garcia Gutierrez

Maria is a senior AI and digital transformation leader with over 20 years of experience at Telefónica, where she most recently served as AI Factory Global Director, leading the company’s AI strategy, governance and responsible adoption. In this role, she drove the design, industrialisation and scaling of predictive, generative and agentic AI solutions across the organisation, bridging technology and business value creation.

Throughout her career at Telefónica, Maria held senior positions spanning Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Digital Data Privacy and Business Intelligence, combining strong technical expertise with a strategic business perspective.

She is currently in a professional transition and also works as an AI Masterclass Professor at ISDI, where she trains executives on AI strategy and operating models. Maria holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Deusto and an Executive MBA from EAE Business School.
