Mari Sekino

Mari is the Founder of QERA, an independent research and advisory practice focused on ecosystem governance, AI adoption, and decision systems. Her work explores how governance can function across organisational boundaries when multiple companies, technology providers, infrastructure actors, and AI systems jointly shape outcomes.

She brings experience in large-scale transformation and strategy across sectors including automotive, construction, retail, and technology, and has worked in global technology and consulting organisations. Her current research focuses on the institutional and operational conditions that make complex ecosystems governable, particularly where technical architecture, organisational responsibilities, and governance mechanisms need to work together.

Mari holds a PhD in theoretical quantum physics and brings a cross-disciplinary perspective spanning science, technology, industry, and institutional design.
