Konstantinos Tserpes

Konstantinos Tserpes is an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and a member of the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS), where he leads the Efficient Computing Lab (ECL).

His research focuses on efficient computing, at the intersection of distributed software systems, cloud-edge computing, machine learning, and data analytics. His work investigates methods for the efficient execution of AI and data-intensive applications across the computing continuum, with particular emphasis on resource and performance optimisation, efficient AI inference, distributed and federated learning, and the security and robustness of distributed AI systems.

He has extensive experience in European research and innovation projects, particularly under Horizon Europe, serving as coordinator or scientific lead in several collaborative projects. He currently coordinates f-inference (Efficient Foundation Model Inference Across the Computing Continuum), CoEvolution (Comprehensive Trustworthy Framework For Connected Machine Learning and Secure Interconnected AI Solutions), and is the acting coordinator of TURING (Trustworthy Unified Robust Intelligent Generative Systems), which investigates trustworthy AI surrogates for complex physical systems.
