Eduardo Oliveira

Eduardo Oliveira is a Data Science and AI Researcher and Consultant at INEGI, where he develops applied AI solutions for supply chain management, logistics, cost estimation, demand prediction and industrial decision support. His recent work includes the development of deep learning and transfer learning models for predicting transport costs and CO₂ emissions in modular construction freight, supporting the use of AI in logistics decision-making from early planning stages to transportation execution. He has contributed to AI and data science projects across logistics, construction, energy and defense sectors, helping translate research methods into practical tools for industrial contexts. Eduardo holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, where he was also an invited professor in data analysis, statistics and information systems. His research background combines machine learning, deep learning, causal inference and industrial decision support, with scientific publications in journals and conferences. His work focuses on bridging applied AI research and operational deployment in industrial and freight transportation settings.
