Dr Svein Ivar Sagatun

Dr. Sagatun has a doctorate degree in engineering cybernetics and a MSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and an MBA in strategic management from the Norwegian School of Economics.  

Dr. Sagatun has been working with integrated operations, managing major capital offshore development projects and leading research and product development on advanced automation and robot systems in ABB Automation, TTS International and Equinor ASA for more than 30 years. Dr Sagatun is an Advisor in robotics and is leading Equinor’s team on developing, qualifying and deploying robot systems and aerial drones into Equinor’s operation.
