Dr. Laura Grau

Dr. Laura Grau is an expert on NdFeB permanent magnets short-loop recycling with an additional background in packaging development and polymer recycling. Her most recent focus was on design for recycling of NdFeB permanent magnets from electric machines. She is well versed with creating product design guidelines based on dismantling, separation and contamination management testing and has worked in several successful recycling-centred European and German research projects. She has also worked closely with policymakers and recently coordinated a European standardization project on labelling permanent magnet containing products for better disassembly and recycling.
