Dr. Juanan Arrieta

Dr. Juanan Arrieta is the Head of International R&I projects/programmes manager of IDEKO. He earned his degree in Industrial Engineering at University of Navarra (Spain) in year 1997 and his PhD in Business Administration at University of Mondragon (Spain) in year 2009. Since 1998 he works at IDEKO R&D Centre, involved initially as a main researcher and project manager. In 2012, he is promoted to the direction of international R&D projects and programmes. He holds an extensive experience in the realisation of R&D projects at a regional, national and international level. Furthermore, he is very experienced in leading industry-driven projects regarding the definition of innovation management strategies, technology roadmapping, competitive intelligence projects, technology transfer or exploitation plans for research results. He has taken part in many international R&D projects at Framework Programmes FP6, FP7, H2020 and HorizonEurope. Related with european intiatives on manufacturing R&I, industry 4.0, Robotics and AI, he currently takes part at the EFFRA Partnership Board and the Manufuture ETP High-Level Group, being co-founder and co-promoter of the Manufuture ZDM sub-platform as well as the 4ZDM cluster on EC-funded projects around zero-defects manufacturing; furthermore, he has been PartnerMasterContact at EIT-Manufacturing (on behalf of EIT-M member Manufacturing Alliance AIE); to complete international domain, he is also an active member at ADRA (AI, Data & Robotics), EURobotics, BDVA, and IAM-I (innovative advanced materials). Regarding the national/regional domain, he is board member at MANUKET (spanish technology platform on advanced manufacturing) and at Internationalisation Working Groups of both Basque Industry 4.0 initiative as well as BRTA (Basque Research & Technology Alliance).
