Dr. José Francisco Gómez Hernández

Dr. José Francisco Gómez Hernández received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Alicante (Spain) in 2024, and a degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1999. He began his professional career as a researcher in CAD/CAM software focused on footwear design and manufacturing, including the machining of footwear components and robotics. He is currently a senior research fellow at Inescop (Alicante, Spain) and head of its Advanced Manufacturing Unit. His research interests include robotics and manufacturing, and he has participated in several research projects for the footwear sector, working specifically on tasks related to the robotisation of footwear production and machining processes. He has authored several scientific and technical publications, presented papers at various national and international congresses, and participated in different R&D projects funded through competitive public calls from administrations and public entities.
