Dr. José David Jiménez-Vicaria

Dr. José David Jiménez-Vicaria is Innovation Manager at Ocean Winds, where he leads the identification, development, and deployment of innovative technologies across offshore wind projects and operating assets. With more than 15 years of experience in engineering, R&D, and technology innovation, he has worked on a broad range of topics including floating offshore wind, advanced materials, structural health monitoring, digitalisation and robotic systems.

Before joining Ocean Winds in 2022, he spent 12 years at ACCIONA, managing industrial research and innovation programmes in renewable energy and civil infrastructure. He has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary projects and collaborations involving industry, universities, research centres, and technology providers, helping translate emerging technologies into practical, scalable solutions.  José David holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Cantabria and a MSc in Offshore Wind Energy from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
