Dr. Jairo Sanchez

Jairo R. Sánchez Tapia holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (Spain). He began his research career in 2006 and obtained his PhD in 2010, focused on real‑time augmented reality algorithms. He is currently a researcher at the technological center Vicomtech, where he leads the Cognitive Vision research group, dedicated to industrial robotics and computer vision technologies. Over the years, he has participated in and led several national and international R&D projects, successfully transferring AI and computer vision solutions to the manufacturing sector.
