Fausto Ferreira is an Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, where he conducts research within the Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (LABUST). He has participated in numerous European and international research projects and has extensive experience in marine robotics and underwater systems. His research interests include underwater computer vision, sonar processing, unmanned marine vehicles, robotics competitions and educational robotics. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, and recipient of the 2023 IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society Distinguished Service Award.
