Diego Maria Pinto

Diego Maria Pinto is a Research Project Manager and AI Consultant at Spindox S.p.A., where he coordinates research and innovation initiatives and supports their commercial exploitation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and service industries. He currently serves as Project Coordinator of MEDUSA, a Horizon Europe project developing a Manufacturing-as-a-Service framework for flexible, decentralised, and sustainable production.

An Industrial Engineer with a PhD in Operations Research, Diego combines an extensive research background at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) with several years of experience in industry and consulting. His expertise spans AI-based decision support, optimisation, digital twins, and data-driven solutions. Throughout his career, he has worked at the intersection of research and real-world implementation, coordinating complex R&D initiatives and fostering collaboration among technology providers, research organisations, and industrial partners. His main interests include AI-enabled manufacturing, decision intelligence, and turning research outcomes into scalable, market-oriented solutions.
