Assia Belbachir

Assia Belbachir is a Senior Researcher at NORCE Norwegian Research Centre, working in the Energy & Technology division and the DARWIN research group. She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from INPT/LAAS-CNRS in France, as well as degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Her research career spans autonomous robotics, multi-robot cooperation, cooperative systems, task planning, machine learning, and intelligent sensing. She has worked on applications including advanced driver-assistance systems, cooperative drones, autonomous systems, and 3D machine vision. At NORCE, her current work focuses on AI-driven robotics, digital twins, machine vision, and autonomous systems for smart and sustainable manufacturing. She contributes to several European research and innovation projects, including COGNIMAN and iBot4CRMs, which explore AI, robotics, digitalisation, and sustainable industrial processes.
