Andoni Amurrio

Andoni Amurrio holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and a PhD from the University of Cantabria (UC). Since 2021, he has worked as a researcher at IKERLAN, within a team specialising in Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. His research focuses on the engineering of safe and resilient intelligent systems, with particular emphasis on reducing the risks associated with the use of AI in critical applications. His main research interests include uncertainty estimation, runtime safety monitoring and assurance, deterministic execution of AI models, and the design of trustworthy architectures.
