On behalf of the ADRF25 Programme Committee, we invite for workshop proposals to the third edition of the European AI, Data, and Robotics Forum (Adra Forum 2025), to be held 23-24 September 2025 in Stavanger, Norway.
Introduction
The European AI, Data, Robotics Forum (ADRF) is the annual community gathering event organized by the AI, Data and Robotics Association (Adra) in collaboration with the European Commission. This event serves as an arena for inspiration and matchmaking of actors and stakeholders in Europe with the goal of promoting research, innovation and deployment of AI, Data, and Robotics (ADR) towards boosting competitiveness and improving technological leadership and welfare across Europe.
The call for workshops is thematically open to any topic at the cross-roads between AI, Data and Robotics. Moreover, this year’s edition would especially like to encourage the submission of workshops addressing topics for resilience and strategic autonomy of Europe. ADRF25 topics include and are not limited to:
- How can we effectively accelerate convergence of ADR to strengthening resilience and strategic autonomy of Europe? Explore how AI, data, and robotics can enhance the resilience and sustainability of infrastructures, operations and services in Europe, e.g., resilience of critical value chains, (cyber)security, regulatory frameworks, and innovation.
- How can we achieve high-impact value creation through ADR convergence for industries and the society in Europe as a whole? What are strategies for leveraging ADR technologies to boost innovation and competitiveness in European industries, as highlighted in last year’s strategic reports including e.g., Draghi report?
- How to achieve technology transfer and high impact of ADR convergence? Focus on best practices for technology transfer and adoption of ADR into day-to-day industry and public sector operations, including reducing regulatory barriers and fostering collaboration between academia and industry to drive high-impact outcomes.
- How to make Europe attractive to talents and skilled professionals in ADR and what approaches should we effectively implement to tackle the crisis on ADR skills in Europe? How to accelerate upskilling of the workforce in Europe to the new trends in ADR.
- How can ADR contribute to the current engagements of Europe in e.g., European Chips Act, European Critical Materials Act, AI act, Data Governance Act, Cyber-resilience Act, etc.?
- How can ADR support the new missions of the European Commissions?
Workshop Assessment and Selection
The Programme Committee will evaluate proposals based on their alignment with the above-mentioned topics, relevance to the audience, and potential to enhance the overall programme. Selected workshops should complement the event while appealing to a broad segment of attendees.
Proposals should explicitly address the following criteria:
Cross-Domain Scope: Clearly demonstrate relevance of AI, Data, and Robotics.
Purpose and Outcomes: Articulate a specific, action-oriented workshop purpose with a well-defined description to attract participants. Include 1–3 predefined questions to guide discussions and generate concrete outcomes.
Topical Relevance: Focus on new, emerging, strategic, or high-interest topics within the community.
Workshop Agenda: Provide a clear agenda with confirmed contributors.
Interactivity: Ensure an engaging format, such as discussions, Q&A sessions, or panels, to foster lively exchanges of ideas.
Balanced Representation: Strive for diverse representation among stakeholders, including industrial, academic, end-user, and policymaker perspectives.
Attractive workshop format for the audience: We recommend avoiding workshops hosting classical presentations of projects or marketing existing products. We advise for workshops that include emerging ADR topics with short presentations and intensive discussions in panels and with the public.
Additional Information
- Duration: Workshops may last a maximum of 90 minutes.
- Format: All workshops will be held in-person. Exceptions for remote keynote speakers may be considered, but online participation equipment cannot be guaranteed and is not encouraged
