Which role for public policies for innovation at regional, national and EU levels and how to make Europe more attractive for digital start-ups and private investors?

How to build sustainable AI ecosystems at regional, national and EU level to develop, retain and attract talents and deep techs?

The roundtable will focus on:

  • Deep tech needs and the role of regional and EU ecosystems to support deep tech companies, help finance their innovations, accelerate market access and growth,
  • How policy-makers, the public sector and industry can work together to establish and support such ecosystems.

Objectives of the roundtable

  • Look at the challenges faced by digital startups to flourish in Europe and existing EU and regional financing and support initiatives,
  • share encouraging testimonies from pioneering deeptech companies that raised capital funding and are expanding in Europe,
  • show how France, the Paris Ile-de-France region and other EU regions have the capacity to invest heavily, from seed to growth, in deep tech companies emerging in Europe.

The roundtable will bring together regional and EU policy-makers, CEOs of clusters, incubators and deep tech companies to reflect on the challenges facing deep tech companies and share success stories of inspiring entrepreneurs.

The session will be organised as a roundtable allowing every speaker to present his/her company or organisation before several rounds of questions put to all by the moderator to try answer some of the challenges raised above.
