Roel Wyuts

As Scientific Director in the AI & Algorithms department and manager of the HPC/AI team, I pioneer hardware/software systems that address high-performance computing (HPC) and AI challenges. My focus lies life sciences and semiconductors application areas, where scientific simulations and AI are essential for modeling and predicting complex problems beyond the reach of generic AI solutions.
In addition, as a part-time professor at KU Leuven, I teach software design, sharing insights from over 20 years of experience. My involvement with EuroHPC JU RIAG underscores my commitment to advising on the future direction of Europe's supercomputing and AI capabilities.
