Olivier Coudray was appointed Head of Robotics Development in Airbus in February 2024. 

He is responsible for the development and support of Automation & Robotics solutions for the Airbus Commercial scope and he also has a role of AI accelerator for Automation & Robotics in Airbus.

 

In his previous role, as head of Engineering System Policy, supplier management, process, methods & tools, he was deploying ways of working in the System community (Systems, Landing Gear, Cabin and Propulsion) and launched the reflections on embedded AI trustworthiness that led to the collaborative work on the certification of Machine Learning in aeronautical safety related products (EUROCAE WG-114, SAE ARP 6983). 

 

Prior to this assignment, Olivier was head of Flight Control Laws, covering during the A350 flight test campaign and the development of the A400M from 2012 to 2014 and then head of Flight Management System of the A400M from 2014 to 2016.

 

Olivier joined Airbus in 2002 in Engineering Flight Physics, where he became head of Aerodynamic Modeling for Aeroelastics and Flight Physics France R&T coordinator.
