Kenneth Ruud

Kenneth Ruud is Director General of the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). He holds a PhD in theoretical chemistry and is a professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where he has also served as the deputy vice-chancellor of research. He has been the director and co-director of two Norwegian Centres of Research Excellence. He is a member of several scientific academies and has received multiple awards for his contributions to science and research leadership. He has also been active in research policy, including a term as vice-chairman of the board of the Research Council of Norway.
