Dr. Ivana Kruijff-Korbayová is a senior researcher at the German Rescue Robotics Center (DRZ) since 2023. Prior, she led the Talking Robots Group at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). She has extensive expertise in natural language processing, human–robot interaction, and robot-assisted disaster response, gained through leading and contributing to national and international projects. In 2016, she lead a human–robot team deployment to support earthquake response in Amatrice, Italy. She serves on the Commission for Extrication and New Technologies of the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services (CTIF), has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications (h-index 30) and is General Co-Chair of the IEEE International Symposium on Safety, Security, and Rescue Robotics (SSRR) 2025.
