Amit Pandey

Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey, PhD (Robotics & AI), is a globally recognized Robotics and AI scientist, innovator, and leader, dedicated to advancing social innovation through technology for humanity. He currently serves as President of Socients AI and Robotics, France.

Dr. Pandey has held prominent leadership roles, including CTO – Robotics and AI at Rovial Space (France) and President, CSO, and CTO at Hanson Robotics, creators of the iconic humanoid robot Sophia. Previously, he was Head Principal Scientist (Chief Scientist) at SoftBank Robotics Europe (formerly Aldebaran Robotics, Paris), the company behind the mass-produced humanoid robots Pepper and Nao. Beyond industry leadership, he has actively contributed to European robotics roadmapping through community engagements and expert initiatives. He is also the co-founder of Global Robotics, Arts, and Science Synergies (Grass) and the Global Institute for Robotics and AI (GIRAI), advancing global collaboration.

An accomplished researcher and speaker, he has authored 60+ publications and delivered 100+ invited talks, keynotes, and lectures worldwide. His honors include recognition among the Top 3 PhDs in Robotics in Europe, and awards such as the Innovation Leadership Award, Global Excellence Award, Achievers Award, and the Non-Residential Bihari Honour.
