Short description: This workshop will present recent developments of Generative AI and its applications in robotics for flexibility and productivity in industrial settings
Date: 05.11.2024 | 15.00 - 16.30
Location: Neptune room

Description:

The integration of Generative AI with robotic systems offers unprecedented opportunities to enhance efficiency, and flexibility in industrial automation. This workshop will explore the transformative potential of Generative AI in industrial robotics, focusing on advancements in human-robot interaction, robot autonomy, rapid skills acquisition, transfer learning, and adaptability within dynamic manufacturing environments by discussing relevant case studies.
Moreover, aspects such as trustworthy AI in Manufacturing, and the role of AI Testing and Experimentation facilities will be discussed.
Through the analysis of the case studies the participants will identify challenges in integrating Generative AI with robotic systems across various sectors, including plastic manufacturing, additive manufacturing and bioprinting, assembly and material handling. The workshop will conclude with a round-table discussion, exploring strategies and solutions to overcome adoption barriers and advance the field and indicate the way forward.
