Description:

Human-centric AI focuses on designing AI systems that are deeply integrated with human needs, values, and social contexts. This interactive workshop delves into the principles and methodologies of creating AI systems that work collaboratively with humans, enhancing decision-making, productivity, and overall user experience. Participants will explore, together with experts from a cluster of 5 Horizon Europe projects on AI for human empowerment: AI, Data and Robotics Partnership (CL4-2022-HUMAN-02-01), the design, implementation, and evaluation of AI systems that prioritize human interaction, trust, and cooperation, ensuring that AI technologies are aligned with human goals and ethical standards.

By taking part in the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the key concepts and importance of human-centric AI for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Gain insights into the psychological and social aspects of human-AI interaction
  • Learn about the frameworks and methodologies for designing AI systems that effectively team with human users.
  • Explore various use cases of human-centric AI in domains such as smart cities, energy, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, journalism, and collaborative work environments.
  • Develop practical skills to evaluate AI systems that enhance end-users' acceptability and trust.
